STATISTICAL PROCESSING OF RESULTS OF TESTING OF STUDENTS

Gumennikova Y.V., Ryabinova E.N., Chernitsina R.N.

Abstract

Provides statistical analysis of the results of testing of students involved in the experiment conducted by the Department of Higher Mathematics at the Samara State University of Railways, since the resulting test data (rates of assimilation of educational information), which are taken as random variables are a set of numbers, which is difficult to detect any pattern of change (variation). Built interval variation series calculated the most important numerical characteristics of random variable - the sample mean (arithmetic mean value of the flag of sample), the sample variance (the arithmetic average of the squared deviations of the observed values of the trait from their average values) and sample standard deviation was given the opportunity to build a histogram of relative frequencies - a stepped shape consisting of rectangles whose bases are partial intervals, and the height equal to the density of the relative frequency. The area of the histogram is equal to the sum of all the relative frequencies, ie, unit. Combining adjacent mid-upper side of the rectangle of the histogram line segments, we received a broken line, called line empirical density. By type of line empiric density statistic put forward the hypothesis of normal distribution of the random variable. To test this hypothesis using one of the criteria for approval - a specially selected random variable, exact or approximate distribution, is known. Pearson , which consists in comparing empirical and theoretical frequencies falls into the "region of acceptance of the hypothesis", is therefore considered a random variable subject to the normal distribution law. This makes it possible to determine its unknown parameters to estimate the unknown expectation (average rate of assimilation of educational information) found using a sample according to the sample average. Assessment of the probability that a random value within the range of learning, characterized by a deficiency in the assimilation of educational material, leads to the conclusion that about 30% of students will require more self-educational activity to achieve a satisfactory invariant form of self-competence. Selection of the normal distribution curve also allows you to build a scale of success of training, that is practiced standard estimates.

PORTFOLIO CONSIDERED AS A PROCESS ENHANCE COGNITION OF MATHEMATICS DISCIPLINES AT UNIVERSITY

Klentak L.S.

Abstract

The article discusses the portfolio in terms of activation of the process of learning mathemati-cal disciplines at the university. We consider three main issues of knowledge: why, how and what to learn. The most constructive method of activation of knowledge at the present stage is to develop the student's portfolio, which reflects the ability to teach yourself. As part of the transition to a federal state educational standards of higher education, which declared the formation of the mandatory electronic student portfolios, including the preservation of the student work, reviews and evaluations of these work by all participants in the educational process, it follows that there is a need to use this innovative approach. Within the framework of the Bologna Declaration, to which Russia joined in 2003, we outlined the basic principles underlying the formation of a single European educational space, including ensuring con-sistency and comparability of the quality of education. Analysis of portfolio models used abroad, has shown that there is widespread demonstration, work and evaluation portfolio. This article presents the author's approach to the typology of the generalized student portfolio on mathematical disciplines, including all those kinds. We consider a student portfolio, consisting of seven main parts: basic information, an individual educational trajectory, the vector of development, creative activity, achievement, evaluation stage of formation of the portfolio, significant portfolio. The approach to the portfolio as a process of self-knowledge as a person to answer the questions: why, how and what to learn put student-oriented technology training.

SYSTEMIC GENERATION OF SOLVING NECESSARY PROFESSIONAL THE TASKS

Nesterenko V.M.

Abstract

The article explains the widespread use of mathematical modeling and computational experiment in solving scientific and technical problems. It is proved that for the construction of a good model should, be chosen major processes, order parameters, towards which must adapt all the other degrees of freedom of the system. The path to understanding complex phenomena - is to build a hierarchy of simplified models. It is argued, that if the information is represented in the form of parametric networks based on the principles of the brain, then the student will be much faster to process and evaluate such information. Subsequently, the subject of action will be enough only to compare the new information, a new internal image created on the basis of transmitted information from a previously created and stored in the memory of the parametric network, taking into account the novelty and make a decision. Under such conditions, the significantly efficiency increases processing. Image component allows a person to discover new ways of solutions to plan the professional activity, that is, to acquire new knowledge. The strategy of creative thinking creates multivariate context due to the simultaneous grasp of almost all features and connections of one or many events. The conclusion, for practical implementation of such training, it is necessary to adequately prepare and initiate information environment that meets the criteria and conditions sustainable functioning of the entire system. Are proved, necessity of giving up "elementaristic approach" and the transition to a qualitatively new - a systematic approach in the knowledge of the professional environment.

Provide statistical processing and analysis of results of pedagogical experiment on introduction of innovative methods based on the matrix model of cognitive activity carried out in Samara state University of railway engineering teachers of the Department "Higher mathematics". To confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method investigates four stochastic variables that characterize the coefficient of mastering of educational material by the individual student resulting from two control tests in experimental and control groups. As the result of an experiment, data is a set of numbers, which are difficult to capture any pattern of change (variation), they are subjected to statistical processing. Built for this interval variational series; the calculated basic numerical characteristics: sample average (arithmetic average value of the attribute of the sample), sample variance (average of squared deviations of observed values from their average values) and sample standard deviation (square root of sample variance). Determined the observed value of goodness-of-fit Pearson that allows you to install, after comparing them with critical values that all of the investigated random variable subject to normal distribution law. Built line of empirical densities of the results obtained in control and experimental groups after the first and after the second test, allowing, to estimate dynamics of process of mastering of educational material. The calculated coefficients of variation characterizing the dispersion of the variational series. Thus it is shown that in the experimental group by the end of training not only increased the average (10% compared with the control group), but decreased the dispersion of results about the mean (16,55 to 13,67 %), which undoubtedly confirms the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Timoshchuk N.A.

Abstract

The article gives foundation for the necessity to own more than just professional skills and abilities for future bachelors and specialists of technical university in order to work efficiently in their professional area, to supply sustainable professional development, social, cultural and professional mobility. To form meta-subject competence among the students is becoming the trendiest task. The modern stage of realization of new generation of Federal state education standards of higher education offers the new approach to understanding of competence from the point of view of meta-subject approach which is nowadays understood as the core of Russian education allowing to keep and save the culture of thinking in the society and to form complex world outlook. It also allows to take into account the best samples of methods and didactics for subject form of knowledge development but at the same time to use new perspectives of some educational forms development, for example the lesson and the subject. Meta-subject content of educational standards should include not only the real objects of studied environment, but also fundamental educational objects and common cultural knowledge about the studied world including fundamental problems and common educational (meta-subject) skills, abilities, common ways of arranging activity and key educational (meta-subject) competence. The author analyses the opinion of various scientists and researchers about meta-subject approach in education, its content and planned results. The system of meta-subject competences for bachelors and specialists studied in technical university and mastering the disciplines of humanitarian and social and economic cycle (Russian, Business communication and speech culture, Rhetoric, maths, etc.) was defined.
