EFFICIENCY AND STUDENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Abrosimov A.A.

Abstract

Effective learning activity as a kind of labor activity requires maintaining a high level of efficiency. This ability, along with indicators such as thinking, memory, attention largely determines the success of a student's digestion of educational knowledge. The results of the studies of the educational process in terms of efficiency are -analyzed. Researches were carried out on the basis of experimental data obtained by testing. It was found that the correlations between performance on the Landolt scale and academic performance of students are absent. This result does not mean that there is no relationship between performance and the results of one’s actions. It is obvious that such a relationship exists, however, for its detection it is necessary to choose appropriate research methods and find the parameters that characterize the effectiveness of, inter alia, training. Observations of trainees show that individual natural mechanisms of optimization and adaptation remain undeveloped, and the motivation, interest can only temporarily improve the efficiency of learning. Therefore it is justified the introduction of a special discipline aimed at training on maintaining a high level of efficiency as an effective way to improve the efficiency of not only the learning process, but also to work in a broad sense.

The authors consider the features of the interactive tasks based on cooperation and development of a uniform idea. The tasks of this sort include: ranging, guided discussion, and problem solving. Ranging is an exercise in which students are given a task to get acquainted with the offered material, to comprehend the information contained in this material and to distribute it according to some definite criteria. Authors also note that the guided discussion is based on a certain topic connected with the text. The exposition of discussion formulates a perspective as a certain substantial component which can be developed in polylogue discussion.

Gordeev M.N.

Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the organization of independent work of bachelors. The ability of self-education is becoming one of the cornerstones of competencies that form the basis of education and training policy in the European Union. Competence is seen as a mixed model in the bachelor. Considerable attention is paid to defining the essence of the concept of "self-study". In determining the theoretical and methodological nature of independent work of students, the key markers of independent work were identified, however, the question of an exhaustive list of markers remains controversial. This problem is poorly understood and requires further research. Using the analysis of the theoretical basis of research, the contradictions arising from the organization of independent work were formulated, and the directions of the design of the educational process were singled out. The paper emphasizes the distinction between "self" and "self-study". The role of self-competence in the formation and the formation of a bachelor is indicated. The idea that self-educational competence is an integrative indicator of the degree of formation of independent work on the mastery of competencies of narrow section of a bachelor is grounded, these competences in training bachelors in the direction "State and municipal management" (hereinafter "SMM") being management competences. Implementing the provisions of the competency approach, the interactive, active, and information and communication forms and technologies should be widely applied in the organization of the independent work of bachelors 'SMM' . Such a view would be of interest to specialists in the field of management training. In conclusion, the idea that the organization of independent work will be more successful in an integrated approach in the formation of core competencies, as well as the implementation of the competence-based approach is stated.

THE USE OF MEANINGFUL COMMUNICATION BARRIER FOR INTERPRETING EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION BASIS OF THE EFFECT OF THE LEXICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUBJECT

Isaev A.А., Plekhanova T.М.

Abstract

The article analyzes the structure and especially the impact on the participants of the communication process of the meaningful communication barrier. The elements of the process of business and friendly relations are identified and discussed from the point of view of psychology. The assumption is made that the trust and its parameters are the basis for effective communication. As parameters the sources of trust/not trust to the opponent are selected. The essence of the author's technology is not only a systematic approach to the allocation of substantial elements of the barrier, but in the emergence of the confidence parameters found in the existing barrier. The meaningful barrier was previously perceived as "filter" information. Now, finding additional elements and combining them into a single system, the author argues that the substantial barrier performs the function of interpretation of information, as received and sent. A barrier is a set of parameters that interpret and form the learned unit of the message. Later these parameters are combined into a whole message that is transmitted by the subject of communication to the object. The testing of the proposed technology was conducted at the Department of Humanities education SamSTU by processing lecture material. To check the viability of the proposed technology among students of different specialties (technical and humanitarian) SamSTU experiment was conducted. The

INTEGRATION APPROACH TO TEACING “pr IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS” USING TEXTS OF INTERDISCIPLINARY CHARACTER (FROM THE FIELD OF POLITICAL SPEECHWRITING)

Karbasova O.V.

Abstract

The present paper concerns the issue of the “integration” approach to teaching “PR in international relations”. The problem is that there is a danger of stressing only one of the two main elements of the discipline, either the public relations or the international relations which can negatively affect the teaching process. The author suggests her own approach to teaching the discipline using texts of interdisciplinary character referring to the field of political speechwriting. On the one hand, these texts feature all the typical traits of a PR-text, as, from the point of view of pragmatics, they are aimed at modifying the behavior of the target audience. On the other hand, public speeches of world famous politicians cover the issues and events from the political agenda and, consequently, reflect all the key problems from the theory and practice of international relations.

METHODS AND TECHNIQUES OF SOCIAL REHABILITATION OF COMBAT VETERANS

Klyachkina N.L.

Abstract

The chosen research topic is relevant, especially in recent times when the Russian and the whole international community is talking about the new "hot spots", that inevitably increase the number of people affected during or as a result of the fighting. More horrific consequences of these events can be seen in the usual "peaceful" life of former participants of military clashes and conflicts. Therefore, all the more relevant is the subject of psychological assistance to former combatants for their reintegration and rehabilitation into everyday life. Rehabilitation can have a temporary, but significant success, leading to a sharp improvement of the quality of life. The peculiarities of the personality of combat veterans and maladaptive manifestations of their behavior and their causes should be considered in the organization of their rehabilitation.

THE METHODOLOGICAL POTENTIAL OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION AS THE BASIS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS

Korchagin E.A., Safin R.S.

Abstract

The article describes the methodological potential of industrial production in the aspect of professional training of future specialists. As structural components of the potential, three methodological points are indicated: technology as an integration component of the production process; the integration of science, education and production; the priority of occupational and professional values and goals in the professional development of the personality of the future specialist. According to the methodological data, it is suggested to look on integrity training and production process as coordinated interaction of the educational process at university and the production process in an industrial plant is proposed. The fundamental difference between training and production process from the conventional one, is that knowledge, skills, and competences are formed within the context of development of a complex and dynamic system of professional activity and thinking of the specialist. Under the conditions of market economy and competition in the market of goods and services methodological basis of training is to be the training of future specialists to work under the changing conditions of practical activities. Thus, the focal point is displaced from the formation of students' knowledge, skills, competencies to the mastering of the art of their application in accordance with production needs.

THE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE QUALITY OF A TEST FROM A COURSE OF HIGHER MATHEMATICS ON THE TOPIC "LIMITS. DERIVATIVES"

Limanova L.V., Muratova L.A.

Abstract

In article the mathematical and statistical analysis of the quality of a test on a subject "Limits. Derivatives" is carried out. The most important characteristics at quality check of a test are reliability and validity. Three ways of calculation of coefficients of reliability are considered. In the first case the coefficient of reliability of a test pays off on a variation of test tasks on a formula KR-20. The second way of determination of the coefficient of reliability of a test is connected with the use of the average coefficient of the correlation of all tasks; thus the formula of calculation of coefficients of correlation was applied to dichotomizing data. The third way of determination of coefficient of reliability is based on splitting of a test on even and odd tasks and the determination of coefficient of correlation between these groups with the subsequent correction on Spirmen-Brown's formula. In the analysis of the turned-out results it appeared that the coefficients of correlation of all tasks meet the requirements of high quality of tests. As for coefficients of reliability, they aren't high enough. It means that it is necessary either to change tasks, or to increase quantity of tasks in the test. In the article, it is offered to change the test length. In this connection the size of frequency rate of such change is defined. In the analysis of a validity of a test as an assessment of coefficient of a validity of separate tasks the coefficient of correlation of each task with test mark of the student (the individual mark) - dot biserial coefficient of correlation was used. Its values, and also the value of the general coefficient of the validity of a test is estimated as averages therefore by way of recommendation it is offered to exclude certain tasks, having replaced them with others. In general the conclusion is that this test can be used as means for control of the level of knowledge of students of a subject "Limits. Derivatives" after the completion.

Modeling of Continuous environmentAL education: a foreign experience analysis

Murtazina L.G., Gaisin I.T.

Abstract

The increase in public attention caused by ecological problems had a profound effect on environmental education. The policy document "Agenda XXI" adopted in 1992 expanded environmental education content towards education for sustainable development. Many countries, including the United States, began a comprehensive planning process of education for sustainable development. In the implementation of strategies of environmental education for sustainable development many developed countries used a coordinated comprehensive approach that comprises the participation of civil society, local communities, the scientific community. Despite the fact that in the US there is no single federal standard in the field of environmental education, each state has defined and uses eco-educational standards in relation to a particular region. On the example of environmentally oriented Ohio, the authors of the article consider conceptual approaches to the modeling of continuous environmental education in the United States. The article analyzes the foreign approaches to content, program design, implementation and evaluation of quality. According to the authors a special role in the development of continuous environmental education in the United States belongs to the "green" (sustainable) schools, whose creation gave a new impulse to the implementation of sustainable initiatives for the planning, distribution, implementation, monitoring sustainability and environmental education programs in schools, universities and local community.

PRINCIPLES OF PROFESSIONAL SELECTION ON THE BASIS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A PERSON

Sorokina L.V.

Abstract

In the article the principles of professional selection based on professional characteristics are analysed. Professional selection is the choice of a specific person for the specific professional conditions. Professional selection aims not only to determine the presence of medical contraindications, but also to choose the profession of a person corresponding to a specific level of professional competence. The system of professional selection should be a "filter" that prevents the hiring of persons with physiological and psychological characteristics that do not meet the requirements of the appropriate technological processes and productions. The article describes the stages of professional selection (for medical reasons, according to the degree of professional suitability, the control stage). From the point of view of safety, the main directions of professional selection of the person (operator) can be taken: physiological, psychophysiological and professional direction. Each area in this case can set the features of quality assessment, which can be viewed and used separately or comprehensively. Every direction can have a number of properties, allowing to assess a person in a particular situation. The level of professional suitability is determined by the level of formation of professional competence (comprehensive assessment). Obtaining low level of formation of professional competence in the process of stage 1 of the professional selection, says that a student should be sent for retraining.

Abstract

Analytical chemistry as an academic subject plays a significant role in would-be chemistry teachers training and alongside other disciplines it gives the students a solid foundation in their professional education. This is a new approach in chemistry students training which is in compliance with the contents of chemistry courses taught at higher educational institutions and at secondary schools. The findings of comparative analysis of modern programs of chemistry education at university and school are cited in the article. The evidence is offered to prove that the notions which are in compliance with HEIs chemistry courses (including analytical chemistry) are being given proper attention to at different school levels of chemistry learning process. The specific feature of modern analytical chemistry is the diversity of objects under study and methods of analysis; these call for improvements to be introduced to structure and contents of lecture and laboratory courses. The substantial reduction in quality analysis section has resulted in increase in the number of hours in general chemistry courses assigned for physical and chemical methods of chemical elements and biological objects qualitative and quantitative analysis. Research projects, environmental projects, project work activities and their adjustment to meet school program requirements are considered to be essential. Traditionally when teaching analytical chemistry to would-be chemistry teachers much attention should be paid to solving tasks; tests in assessment programming should be used to measure students’ competencies under controlled conditions. Under conditions prevailing in education, special attention should be paid to training and methodological support of educational process. Analytical chemistry course which would-be chemistry teachers are supposed to undertake while undergoing training at the University gives students the chance to put analytical chemistry theory into practice and to gain the experience of conducting scientific research.
