The problem of the ressentiment resource of the network environment ethos: the social epistemology of the network ressentiment

Bakshutova E.V.

Abstract

The article proves the problem of the resentment as a collective destructive feeling of hatred towards social opponents, which assumes a normative character in network communication. The author analyzes the concept and phenomenology of the résentiment, relying on philosophical reflection. Enriching cognitive approaches and approaches in the field of the theory of action, important for society in the situation of tension in social relations, the socio-psychological development of the topic of collective sentiment is justified by the need to identify cognitive codes of the sentiment, since the events observed in the social networking space at the moment of history indicate a high level social tension and the need to reduce it. The article proposes the author's model of generation of the sentiment, which has as its basis a mentality, or more precisely, a historical pathologization of the norms of social being. The actual inconsistency of reality with the mentality (established norms of behavior) generates disadaptation, social stress and frustration, which leads to a state of group aggression, expressed in network communication in a variety of linguistic forms. The level of resentment capacity of network texts is determined by the measurement of the system of indices of the expression of the sentiment, their density and diversity, and the system of connotations makes it possible to determine the script's semantics of the phenomenon. The work gives examples of the sentience of network texts - a network of comments - reactions to various stimuli that can be analyzed in accordance with the author's model. Each level of the basic model corresponds to the sources of manifestation of the sentiment in specific communicative situations, which allow to identify and fix «scripts» occupying a stable place in the collective consciousness of network communicators. Such scripts can be referred to as «the enemy of the people», «punishment», «ostracism», «Russophobia».

Abstract

Modern higher education is on the verge of change caused by the paradigm shift - the transition from classical to progressive. Nowadays, it is already impossible to imagine education without the use of information and communication technologies. Due to this, there is a need to reconsider methods and approaches to teaching in higher educational institutions. The concept of higher education should correlate with the requirements of the society that a graduate should satisfy. A graduate of the 21st century is a subject of his own activity, who possesses the necessary competences to become successful in the society. Consequently, a teacher faces the task of finding ways and means of integrating new formats of education into the learning process, thanks to which the student will be able to master the 21st century competences. In order to improve the quality of education, the authors introduce one of the components of the blended learning strategy - the Flipped Classroom. The paper presents the Flipped Classroom concept, the possibilities of implementing this technology using the educational platform TED-Ed which, in its turn, allows satisfying the modern requirements of integrating information technologies in the educational context. The authors have tried out this technology. The materials were created for the English Language class, intended for independent and classroom work of second-year students studying in the department of construction. Conclusions are made regarding the effectiveness of the approach. Thus, implementing the Flipped Classroom has allowed the authors to improve the results of learning in general, and students’ autonomous learning skills in particular. The authors consider the Flipped Classroom and the TED-Ed resource as a great advantage due to the possibility of using them in various fields of education.

Yasin M.I.

Abstract

The article focuses on the features of the Russian Buddhists’ motivation in the framework of the Karma Kagyu traditions, determined by the method of Stojković I. and Mirić J. Karma Kagyu Buddhism is a traditional school of Tibetan Buddhism, which is quite popular in modern Russia. 90 Buddhists participated in our study. The results obtained indicate that Buddhists have a high internal motivation for practicing and studying doctrine, they have no desire to meet the expectations of others in terms of their religious grounds. They do not expect a reward for the "right" Buddhist life. In their minds, Buddhism is not connected with the traditions of the family and society. The practice of Buddhism for its supporters is a source of emotional well-being, ideals and morality.
