Abstract
The general aim of this article is presenting of some cultural-terminological clarification to concepts of war and peace as cognitive spheres of current humanities. It should be recognized that despite the apparent elaboration in the scientific literature of the themes of war and peace, theirconceptual and terminological support looks very confusing and methodologicallycontradictorily. It is important to consider the nature and future of war and peace in the discourse of cultural understanding. This examination involves the definition of war and peace as the structurally-semiotic states and as metaphors that reflect the imperatives of social adaptation and development.
