Abstract
In the article the methodological approaches to the justification of professionally important qualities of specialists and the development of different models of specialist intended for demonstrative and adequate representation of future professional activities are discussed. The profession-graphic features of engineering activities at the enterprises of railway transport, in the psychophysical aspect of reliabilityof specialists are specified. The results of the diagnostic experiment aimed at the identification of the initial level of formation of the qualities of attention (concentration, volume, attention switching), the indicators describing the psychological stability and preservation of data performance in terms of confounding factors and physical fatigue are given.
