Abstract
The paper considers the model of methodical system of cognitive competences development in teaching at the university. The article contains the description of its main components. It includes the objectives, content, methods, means and organizational forms of training, as well as the diagnostics of the results. It is designed to meet the goals of cognitive competences development. The model is based on the morphological analysis of the structure and is a tool for designing the methods of formation and development of cognitive competencies in the study of various disciplines in higher education institutions.
